Did You Understand Me?

Multi-national Challenge
Vancouver Real Estate offers unique language barrier challenges. In a city where all nationalities of the world live, it is quite common to encounter clients who leave you uncertain that they understand.
Seeking Clarity
Without an interpreter it is all but impossible to explain the nuances of any agreement. With one present, the English language in itself, with it’s derivatives of clarity, presents an constant uphill battle of checking and rechecking to see if the message has been delivered and clearly understood. Body language, facial expressions all are constantly watched in the hope that they get it. Even with such clues, absolute certainty is constantly questioned and finally, out of exasperation, you just hope for the best.
Have I Made Myself Clear
Without absolute assurance of clarity, you are left with an uncomfortable feeling knowing that client actions could potentially have grave consequences if they did not get the message you delivered.
But Really – do you understand?
Got a Vancouver Real Estate question? Always happy to do my best to answer it. Call or send me an email.
