Vancouver Real Estate Apollo and Duct Tape

Then

Forty years ago, on Oct. 14, 1968, Apollo 7 commander Walter Schirra looked out the rendezvous window on the 9th day of the Apollo 7 Earth orbital mission.

Pictures often tell a story about a moment in time. This one is no exception.

Note NASA‘s use of Duck Tape to hold the space module together. This was either brilliant or absolutely stupid when you consider the number of outstanding scientists and engineers who worked on this mission. Regardless of position taken, ultimately, you can only conclude that the tape got the job done. After all, the mission was a success.

Today

One wonders if the picture of Vancouver Real estate is similar? Like the mission the variables at play are enormous. Currently, we have an unbelievable number of homes for sale, continued high prices and few sales. Added to the mix in the past few days, is the global financial crisis.

In parallel, teams of marketers, Realtors, bank, government and financial gurus as brilliant in their field as the scientists and engineers have attempted to determine solutions for a successful outcome.

Mission Impossible?

Within NASA’S picture rests encouragement in finding the answer to our chaos. The solution may be Duck Tape.

Cautionary Note

The plethora of product recalls demand prudence to establish where the tape was manufactured.
