Wish List

It is unlikely that today’s news of our Parliament being prorogued is going to help Vancouver real estate.

Lumps of Coal

Historic in it’s scope, we find ourselves left contending with elected representatives who achieve new lows in political engineering that is simply astounding.

Trust

We trust that elected individuals represent our best interests hoping for and expecting better. Today’s locking of parliments doors is an example of the new Canadian politic. A sad day by any measure.

Sugar Plumbs

What’s left is to reflect on better days ahead as we gaze upon our city looking forward to Sugar Plumb Fairies.

“Plumb” is derived from the latin word for lead. (“Plumber” from lead pipes, “plumb line” from the lead weight, et cetera.) Sugar plum, unless you’re going for irony.

I’ve looked, but it’s impossible to find a Fairy to help “sugar” coat the issues at hand. Hopefully, the future will deliver a “plumber” capable of unplugging this real estate pipe.
