Life’s Moments

There was an extraordinary life moment in picture taking that occurred during a recent visit at the local Blenz Coffee house on Vancouver’s West Broadway. As a moment, it is commonplace, simple by many of life’s standards, but was one that revealed sudden insight into the essential meaning of how as a Realtors, communication with clients requires a single constant.

This little guy was full of emotion. Animate and vocal, his message was full of intent that ranged from sheer joy to abject curiosity. Without doubt, he was excited!

In the microcosm of Vancouver real estate and beyond, a number of realtors are expanding their ability to communicate. Notable is that their delivery parallels this young man’s. The methods used by each are as different as the expressions on his face and yet, they contain a common element, excitement. The varity and method of communicating is unprecedented. Consider local realtor Ian Watt who has carved out a niche as a video blogger. Ian’s Vlog which to some, may seem simply dangerous to complete while driving, couples what often appears to be a hasty, rash, and often irreverent exciting delivery. While not as gregarious, witness Michael Andruff who puts forward a more statesman perspective.

Of those who choose the written word, Norm Fisher of Saskatoon is faultless in providing well researched data pertaining to his local market. Similarly, local Vancouver Realtor Maggie Chandler’s writings present intimate detailed statistics of Vancouver’s Coal Harbor and Kitsilano. Then there is Ines at Miamism. Her site screams Miami excitement. Ines delivers it all. Video, photogaphy, community involvement, and of course – Mojitoes.

The Constant

Collectively, these Realtor’s, capture the essence of this little guy. Though improbable to suggest that they are all cute kids, they like this cute kid, express themselves in varied ways that are just as impassioned and intense.

While each chooses a different style, there remains that single constant as obvious as that seen in this wonderful young man. Without exception, all are excited about the work they do in this business called Real Estate.

Thank you Larry.

The child analogy is interesting. Just read something Brendan King wrote some time ago titled, Dream Like a Child.

“Don’t let life beat the child out of you.”
