My buddy Laurie Manny of Long Beach Real Estate fame thought I needed a chuckle and sent me this little bit of life. Chuckle I did!

Apparently this is a snippet from a French documentary on the reaction of various animals as they gorge on overly ripe, very fermented fruit. Precise details may be in the French narration, however, when you watch this snippet the need for details really don’t seem to matter. You’ll get the message.

As I watched, a curious thought came to mind. Could this movie be a parallel to the current Vancouver Real Estate market? Is the overly ripe fruit of current mortgage rates causing buyers to gorge via multiple offers therein pushing the market to new sky high prices. Moreover, in a short time when mortgage rates increase, will we look upon those buyers and chuckle fully knowing the message has been delivered as those buyers suffer pain from a massive financial hangover? As with the movie – will those details matter?
