downtown is seemingly reticent to list with the approach of the olympics.
City Vanoc rules for moving in and out during the games only allow trucks downtown between midnight and early morning. City parking rules :
“Deliveries
While local businesses will be able to make and receive deliveries in downtown Vancouver 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we strongly encourage flexibility in timing your deliveries. In order to avoid congestion and traffic, the City recommends that all deliveries be planned between 12 midnight and 6 am. If you are unable to make or receive deliveries before 6 am, the next preferred delivery window is before noon. ”

Tough to move in or out at 2 am.

Yes Chris, from your perspective, it is the information you feel entitled to. Yes Chris, that information is available via a VOW. No Chris, it’s not provided via this data feed. The question Chris is why would you ask for a bag of groceries when all you wanted was a banana?

Would that be the MLS listing the general public does not have access to, that the Realtors keep for themselves at first?

Hopefully that practice has ended.

Luc,
the sub-areas are referred to as Communities. With respect to the data it is agreed that it is minimalist – the point is to provide an overview as opposed to burdening you with overwhelming data when it is of no interest.

I am familiar with VOW’s and their function. I am a more hands on REALTOR who prefers meeting people F2F, a new concept in social media , so that dialogue in regard to their life style, housing and financing needs can be established. VOW’s have their place if the objective of both parties is to remain anonymous. Being anonymous is not how I roll.

From this perspective Buying and Selling real estate is in my opinion not an “Amazon” online affair. It might be an old fashioned concept but, I as I’m sure do you, like to know who I’m doing business with. To that end, more complete information on listings can be made available for your consideration should we both decide that we want to do business with each other.

In regard to the listings – it seems not as extensive as VOW because you can’t specify the sub-area and the results are less detailed.
