The Golden Olympic Ticket
You may think the 2010 Olympics with its glories, gold medals and incredible sport was the highlight of the past two weeks. You may also have thought that the enormous crowds singing O Canada was the highlight of your day but, according to CTV’s Darcy Wintonyk there’s another big ticket story.
Lurking amongst those songsters, the well wishers, wanna-be party goers and lest we forget, some black hooded dudes hell bent on destruction, were Vancouver real estate buyers who it seems, laid down some pretty big cash to buy their front row ticket to Vancouver’s truly golden real estate.
Riding the Jewel
One supposes that VANOC’S efforts to protect the riders going down that luge track at 150 mph must have extended a giddy warm fuzzy feeling to someone else who ‘believed’. It seems the belief was so strong that they decided it was time. They were ready to ride! Intent they were to ‘own the podium’!
Capturing the spirit of the games they ‘strapped them on’ and laid down a run of $22.3 million pieces of real gold for a shack-in-the-sky at Three Harbour Green. A place eloquently described by Wintonyk as being “nestled on the shores of Coal Harbour” or better still – “The Last Jewel in the Crown.“.
