Skills
There is nothing more important than having the skills to do a job properly. Much like the champion surfer who makes riding the crest of a huge wave look simple, a skilled Realtor® can make selling a home look easy. Yet, as both the surfer and Realtor® know, being good at either task is not straightforward. They both understand that doing the job right every time takes dedication, determination and time.

The Billabong surfing competition takes place on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii in mid December.
This year the strong trade winds whipped the waves making them more powerful and more dangerous.
It was my privilege to watch ultra skilled men and women go out and do battle with monster waves leaving me in awe. Their determination was inspiring.
No Photography Award
In December 2012 I was lucky and got to see the world’s best surfers in Hawaii. Its a long way from Kitsilano but as always, I had my camera with me. Shooting high action sports well is a skill that I am determined to learn. Capturing events such as the Billabong on your camera humbles you as you come to understand the word amateur. However, if you are willing to watch I’m brave enough to show you my twenty seconds of photographic glory as I captured this young man getting wet and wild.

love it. thanks Larry!
Those are some pretty cool shots! Fun times.
