Our good friend Cameron Muir the Chief Economist at the British Columbia Real Estate Association presents some important facts in this December’s British Columbia Market Update. A highlight – “according to survey, seven out of ten British dogs get Christmas gifts from their doting owners.”

Notable in this report is BCREA’s local view in its month to month Sales to Active Listings comparison reveals Greater Vancouver is hovering in the lower end of a balanced market. The majority of the province remains locked in a buyer’s market.

Market growth, prices, sales are all inextricably tied to jobs – good jobs. In the last few Cam TV reports his outlook dances around this issue to imply that the market will probably not change much with out a significant change in the number and quality of jobs available.

This one issue may be the bell weather that determines future health of the various real estate markets throughout British Columbia.
