Memory Lane Hype

The durability of real estate news can be measured in the time it takes to reach the blue recycle box – a momentary trip down memory lane.

Why All the Hubbub

All the hubbub seems out of place when according to this graph the east side average price has been steadily climbing for more than a year.

Tight

Maybe the real reason for all the shouting has to do with fewer homes for sale? As noted in yesterdays post inventory is below average for this time of year. Perhaps all the hubbub was nothing more that buyers tearing at the chance to buy an under priced listing in a tight market.

Proportion

Comparing East to West, the west side took a proportionate hit as average prices dropped.

But who cares about that when you have enough to burn!
