What Does a Percent Ratio Mean

Simply it is the percent of which the current inventory of homes are selling.


  • A sales ratio of 10% is equal to 1 in 10 homes are selling.
  • A sales ratio of 33% is equal to 1 in 3 homes are selling.
  • A sales ratio of 54% is equal to 1 in 2 homes are selling.
  • Interpreting the Percentage

  • A Sellers Market when the Percent ratio is 21% or Greater.
  • A Balanced Market when the Percent ratio hovers between 15% and 20%.
  • A Buyers Market when the Percent ratio is 14% or lower.
