Out with the old and in with the new.
The machines are tearing up 12th between Arbutus and Macdonald. Digging down about 15 feet they are replacing the old sewer lines that date back about 100 years according to one of the workmen.Thumper
It’s a very noisy affair with “thumpers” compacting the new fill and shaking every condo along the way. Certainly knocks the bubbles out of your champagne. Standing near this machine as it works gives you a very strange sensation as the earth shakes with a dull deep hollow sound. I don’t know how the work men constantly deal with it. It rattles every part of your body leaving you feel a bit queezy. This repair is slated to go on until September. Parking - what parking, only if you have a big truck or a digger.Got a Vancouver Real Estate question? Always willing to help - just call or Email.
