Recycled Gardens

Red Pontiac Clunker
Your old clunker is running on vapors and the hoses leak. Parked, you wonder if the Exxon Valdez was anchored under the hood. The tires are bald, the radiator is about to explode anti-freeze gyzers and the exhaust is so loud you can’t hear yourself think. It’s time to create garden-art!
Alternative Thistles
You could call the junk dealer and pay them $10 to take it away to be crushed into a pancake or, you could drive it into the river ensuring that Green people with badges will find you and put thistles in your sneakers. Not a good thing, now that you have to walk. Don’t lose hope as there is a alternative! Get creative, get artistic, re-use and recycle the old beast into a car garden.
What’s in a Name?
Acronyms are important! So I declare a new art form - CARECODENART (Car-Eco-Garden-Art). Stupid name, maybe, but I’m under pressure to offer original thought!
Recycled Rust
You can scoot around this city a long time before you find something this original. It is improbable that the initiative to recycle automobiles in this manner will make front page news. CARECODENART is after all, something created out of nothing which at times is as valid as some Vancouver Real Estate predictions.
La Cosecha Community Garden
In this city of cars, gardens, real estate opinions and disconnected parcels of land, it’s great fun to find something out of the ordinary in unexpected places. Drive or better, walk to Clarke avenue and Broadway. There you will find CARECODENART.
Got a Vancouver Real Estate question? I’ll do my best to answer it. Call or send me an email.
