Doors to Vancouver Real Estate

Just Around The Corner

A short walk around to neighbourhood apartment blocks revealed some of the finest wood and glass craftsmanship this city offers. The apartments date back to the late 1920’s thru early 1930’s. The workmanship on the doors and glass panels in these pieces of Vancouver real estate are from my perspective, works of art.

The Sensation

Touching the finely carved wood was a treat for me as I have always admired those who could create such beauty from a tree. Finding craftsmen in today’s world with the skills to build these pieces would I think, be impossible. If you could, the cost to reproduce such magnificent doors would be enormously expensive.

From an age when excellent craftmanship was chief over expense.

Jim
I’m sure you have many similar doors in your area. There out there just waiting to be noticed.

How beautiful, Larry!

I love the feel of beautiful wood, and it has suddenly occurred to me that my clients must think I’m nuts when I bend down to touch old pine floors, and stop to touch woodwork. Or marble. Or granite…quartz… OCD, anyone?

Anyway.

Lovely doors beckon you to enter, rather than shut you out. You’ve done a brilliant job of showing the best, most welcoming doors in the neighborhood. How fortunate for the residents.

Teri,

You’re never nuts to pass a hand over something as warm and inviting as finely crafted wood. It’s right up there with taking time to stop and smell roses.
