
Apples and Oranges
Comparing the east side to the west detached market might be looked upon as comparing apples to oranges. However, as an indicator of the mood of both markets it serves some relevance.
Consistent
Aside from the overall price difference between the two areas of the Vancouver Active listings have remained steady. In part this consistency occurred due to the increased sales in this first quarter of 2010.
The drop in expired listing mandates can be attributed to the end to the holiday season and of course, increased sales.
Difference
The west side experienced an average overall price drop however, the east side has maintained its vigor.
