Vancouver Real Estate has for sale over 17,000 listings.
Questions are being asked about our local market . Will it go higher, is this a new low, is this the end? A thought I had was that everybody has got to live somewhere so I wondered -

How about the selling and renting “for a while” option.

Great idea. I will do that.
many of my sellers this year are trading up. others are investors who are profit taking. others are moving out of vancouver cause of their job. one is selling in order to finance their kids post secondary edu. the interesting point is that they have elected to do all these things this year. did these life situattions not occure in the past couple of years?

These are all possible answers to the great number of listings we have right now.
Why this year??? That is another great question.
Maybe someone might be able to provide a perspective or at least a theory.
