According to CMHC we are looking pretty good. Things will slow down but nobody’s calling for a crash.
B.C. Positives
- strong economy
- job growth
- population flows
- Olympic influence- sees housing starts to increase by 9.3%
Resales
- dropping in 2008 and 2009
- expect to see a drop of 8.5% in ’08 with another 2.3% in ’09
Resale Prices
- moving to balanced market in 2008
- price may increase by 5.1 per cent in 2008 and a further 3.3 per cent in 2009.
